When talking about Medicare Part B keep in mind it’s the outpatient side of Medicare. It includes everything you would typically do on an outpatient basis. Things such as outpatient surgeries, scans, labs, seeing a physician are covered by Part B.

Your Part B premium is going to based on your income. Those individuals with a personal income under $97,000 ($194,000 for a married couple) per year are going to pay $164.90 per month. There’s a small $226 deductible for 2023. After you meet the deductible you’ll pay 20% of the bills. You’re also responsible for the excess charges if a physician adds 15% to the bill. Most people purchase a Supplement or Medicare Advantage Plan to cover these expenses.
